A movie about people with mental illness won the first ‘Festival sobre Cine y Discapacidad de la Fundación Anade’.

The actor Pepe Villuela and the actresses Fátima Baeza and Bárbara Muñoz, from Hospital Central, attended the awards ceremony.

‘El reverse de la realidad’ (about mental illness), directed by Alejandro Alvarado and Concha Barquero, obtained the Best Movie award at the first ‘Festival de Cine y Discapacidad de la Fundación Anade’.

Also awarded, Jose María Benítez (for the short film ‘Mi Hermano’) and Angelita Pinto (for ‘Enfocados’), as Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively.

A radio station directed by people with mental illness in Málaga is the focus of ‘El reverse de la realidad’, using the radio to make the listeners more aware of their problems.

The jury’s mention of honor went to the movie ‘El Psicohospitalito’ by Elena García, whereas ‘Cómo estás Papá’, by the ‘Asociación Valenciana de Esclerosis Lateral Amiotrófica (ELA), was awarded as the most solidary movie.
